Nemiranda presents painting to Aquino family

MANILA, Philippines - The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and its Committee on Visual Arts (CVA) recently brought to a colorful conclusion PVAF: TRE.

The five-day celebration was capped by award rites held at the SM Event Center of SM City Taytay, the festival’s official venue, with winners of the National Painting Competition and the Mural Interaction Contest.  The festival was co-sponsored by the Rizal Provincial Government, Rotary International District 3800, and Thunderbird Resorts.

The main highlight of the annual arts festival was the handover ceremony for the painting “Human Cordon” held at Thunderbird Resort in Binangonan.  Angono master and CVA head Nemiranda bestowed the EDSA-inspired painting to the Aquino family. Presidential Sister Ballsy Aquino Cruz accepted the artwork on behalf of President Benigno S. Aquino III.
