Larnce Gold holds photo workshop at Silverlens
MANILA, Philippines - There will be a photo workshop on portraiture and lighting moderated by Larnce Gold at Silverlens Gallery, 2320 Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati City.
Gold is an internationally recognized portrait and fashion photographer who works in the worlds of advertising, magazines, music and fashion. His use of color and graphic compositions juxtaposed with highly stylized quirky storytelling make his images arresting and his subject’s presence immediate. His images have appeared in many publications worldwide, including Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. Larnce is currently based in Sydney, Australia and continues to shoot prolifically, inspired by life’s characters and making beautiful images.
The course schedule is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., starting Monday April 16, (Pre-Production & the Creative Process), followed by sessions on April 18, Wednesday (Lighting Theory & Set Assignment), Monday April 23, (Shooting a Portrait- group participation); and April 25, Wednesday (Post Production/Retouching & Critiquing of Assignments).
The registration fee is P8,000 and the deadline for reservation is April 13.
This course is ideal for those who have a firm understanding of the principles of photography. Participants want to develop a contextual, conceptual and theoretical platform to grow from and are interested in gaining knowledge in portrait photography. Using fundamental lighting skills, you will gain a basic grounding in techniques for both studio and location work. Covering the use of available light and studio flash, you will gain a clear understanding of how to plan your shoot, to create dramatic effects and how to use flash.
