18 actors, 5 scenes, I roof in 'Unlimited Text, Version 2'

-

MANILA, Philippines - Unlimited Text, a series of dramatic readings of tried and tested or adapted scenes, offers up its Version 2.  In the spirit of the season, scenes from three classic romantic films — Breakfast at Tiffany’s, An Officer and a Gentleman and T-Bird at Ako —will be performed.  Scenes from the two American films will also have adapted counterparts.  Whether in original or adapted dialogue, the scenes in Version 2 will be approached in ways never seen before.

Unlimited Text, V.2 is curated by Jenny Jamora. Scenes are directed/adapted by Angeli Bayani, George de Jesus III, Ed Lacson Jr., Pat Valera and Rem Zamora, and include Tara Cabaero, Kat Castillo, Chrome Cosio, Martha Comia, Meann Espinosa, Nico Magno, Paul Jake Paule, Franz Miguel Ramirez, Che Ramos, Noah Ramos, Reuben Uy and Joy Virata.

This “fun-raising project” for the benefit of the Theater Actors Guild (TAG) will be staged today, Feb. 6, 9 p.m. at Quantum Café, 9590 Kamagong corner Bagtikan streets, Makati City, and on Feb. 13, 9 p.m. at Taumbayan, 40 Gener St. corner K-1st St., Kamuning, Quezon City.

For both dates, TAG members are invited to come early to have their headshots taken for “I’ve Been TAGged,” TAG’s profiling project for an online database which will be available to agencies, producers and casting directors.

Unlimited Text — celebrating the actor and the text, the wealth and diversity of talent in Philippine theater and the power of adaptation…all in the spirit of fun. Admission is free. A hat will be passed after the show. Follow @UnliTextMla on Twitter or e-mail unlimitedtextmanila@gmail.com for information.
