MANILA, Philippines - The UST College of Fine Arts and Design (CFAD), in collaboration with the UST Museum, present “Likhang Bayan 5 at ang mga Larong Pinoy,” an exhibition of traditional Filipino art forms which the artist-teachers of CFAD learned from ingenious regional artists and craftsmen, and which they passed on to their respective classes. Now on its fifth year, Likhang Bayan features the works of teachers and students who explored our traditional crafts with popular, traditional Filipino children’s games as the theme. The results are surprising, whimsical and larger than life. Exhibit viewers are invited to experience and enjoy our traditional arts and games.
In conjunction with the exhibit, Aling Genny Cruz, Nanay Luz Ocampo, and Rheeza Hernandez share their crafting skills with select students from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila at the Beato Angelico Gallery
The show is on view until Oct. 8 at theMain Gallery, UST Museum, Mezzanine Level, Main Building, University of Santo Tomas, España Blvd., Manila . Admission fee is P50 regular and P30 for students.
