MANILA, Philippines - Jenny Cortes showcases her wooden sculptures in “Galâ-isipan,” which opens on Sept. 20 at The Crucible Gallery, fourth floor, SM Megamall A, Mandaluyong City. The show runs until Oct. 2.
“Galâ-isipan (daydreamer)” is an imaginative exploration of biomorphic forms. The works draw inspiration from varied sea, air and terrestrial creatures. The relief, mobile, free-standing and functional works are presented for interactive appreciation. Done in wood, each piece is handcrafted using traditional techniques of woodworking.
