Brando Bati at Indios Bravos

MANILA, Philippines - Brando Limon Bati explores a subtler, monochromatic palette that captures snapshots of halcyon days in shades of bronze and burnt amber in “Shimmering Path,” which opens on Aug. 28 at Indios Bravos Art & Antiques Gallery, 178 Mabini corner Ortega Sts., San Juan.

Bati, a protégé of the late Manuel V. Duldulao, says the idea for illuminated bamboo groves was first suggested to him by the art historian. His initial forays were in naïf neon’s, which later progressed to ultra-violet spectrums.
