MANILA, Philippines - Broadway set designer Loy Arcenas is featured in Ayala Museum’s DesignTalks on Feb. 11, 4:30 p.m., at the Ground Floor Lobby of Ayala Museum. DesignTalks is a lecture series that brings prominent and pioneering Filipino creative professionals to the center stage.
Arcenas will talk about his works that have garnered numerous awards throughout the years. He has designed sets for theater production companies such as Steppenwolf Productions in Chicago, Goodman Productions in Minnesota, as well as for the off-Broadway and national tours of the famed The Vagina Monologues. For his design work, he has received Drama Desk nominations, LA Drama Critics Circle Award, Jeff Award, Bay Area Critics Circle Awards, and the Obie Award for sustained excellence of set design.
Admission to the lecture is P150 for students, senior citizens and Ayala Museum members, and P300 for adults, inclusive of admission to all the galleries.
This event is part of the 2011 Manila Design Week and is supported by Creative Industries Initiative and Audio Visual Solutions Corp.
