BenCab at Wine Story

MANILA, Philippines - Gallery Big presents an exclusive viewing of “Sensual Allure,” a private collection of nudes by National Artist BenCab, which opens on Oct. 7 at the Wine Story, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City. The show runs until Oct. 24.

This interesting array of 11 nude sketches highlights the artist’s life-long fascination with the female form.

‘Romancing Johnny Moon’ at Sitio Remedios

Sitio Remedios dedicates several weekends to honor National Artist Juan Luna with activities in art appreciation titled “Romancing Johnny Moon,” which is slated from Oct. 22 to 24, Nov. 19 to 21, Nov. 26 to 28, and Dec. 10 to 12 at barangay Victoria, Currimao, Ilocos Norte.

The weekend art teachers who will be in residence are Riel Hilario, Erwin Leano, Jim Orencio, and other artists from Art Informal and the Silangan Foundation for Arts, Culture, and Ecology. Ambeth Ocampo will also conduct a lecture.

Made-Now benefit show at Altro Mondo

Network of Winners (NOW), a newly formed group composed of former winners of Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) headed by president Noell EL Farol and vice president Mark Justiniani, will hold a three-day fundraising exhibit to support the art therapy and outreach programs of MADE-NOW, from Oct. 5 to 7 at Altro Mondo Arte Contemporaneo, third floor, Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati City.

MADE winners donated one or more paintings for the exhibit.
