Guitarist Stanley Jordan live at Ayala Museum
MANILA, Philippines - Ayala Museum and the Philippine Jazz International Festival Foundation present world-class guitarist Stanley Jordan on Oct. 1, 6 p.m. at the ground floor lobby of Ayala Museum.
Born in California, Stanley Jordan has been enamored with music since childhood, and has released several major and independent records. He received many citations including Grammy nominations, performed in numerous jazz festivals, and developed ways on how music can further improve lives. His latest album, “State of Nature, is an eloquent portrayal of man’s relationship with nature and is a tapestry of bold, mesmerizing sounds, Jordan’s trademark in progressive instrumental music, especially his fluid and melodic two-hand tapping technique. Jordan’s charm is derived from his evident respect for music and his pursuit to understand it further. “I want to be a part of a new way of doing things,” he says.
