MBC presents Aliwan Fiesta 2010
MANILA, Philippines - About 5,000 delegates representing various regions will showcase Filipino design ingenuity and craftsmanship in the annual “Aliwan Fiesta 2010” slated from April 22 to 24 at the Star City Complex, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.
Now in its eighth year, the festival will culminate in a grand parade, which will be graced by their different muses vying for the title festival queen. But the real highlight is the festival dance competition, where provincial contingents present fabulously choreographed routines in full costumed glory. The grand champion will receive P1 million.
Early bird entries include Bulacan’s Halamanan and Singkaban festivals, along with the Pagkakasundo festival from the town of Dinalungan in Aurora; and the Buklod festival of Parang, Maguindanao. Iloilo, Leyte, and Masbate will be fielding their respective champions.
