A message of radical hope at Ortigas Center
MANILA, Philippines - Ako ay Pilipino and other popular Pinoy bands join hands to bring inspiration through music, poetry and art that kindle Filipino pride, nationalism and radical hope on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 7 p.m. at 6UG, Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
Music artists including Gloc 9, Mayonnaise, Salamin, Severo, Hilera, Rinka Collective, Doki, Glorious Masai Mata and Pitik — all will rev up the place with music that rouses patriotism and hope, and sound a call to action. In between sets, there will be short previews of the book Ako ay Pilipino: Noon at Ngayon. This coffee table book has been receiving praise from reviewers, conveying a timely message presented through cutting-edge graphic design and a creative, non-conventional writing style.
The book will be available at all leading bookstores nationwide soon.
