‘Here be Dragons’ at Manila Contemporary

Ronald Achacoso, Alex Aguilar, Johnny Alcazaren, Poklong Anading, Felix Bacolor, Ringo Bunoan, Roberto Chabet, Mariano Ching, Lena Cobangbang, Louie Cordero, Bembol dela Cruz, Dodo Dayao, Nilo Ilarde, Manuel Ocampo, Jonathan Olazo, Jason Oliveria, Bernardo Pacquing, Gary Ross Pastrana, Alwin Reamillo, Raul Rodriguez, Juni Salvador, Gerardo Tan, Jay Ticar, Trek Valdizno, Cris Villanueva and Reg Yuson explore a virtual topographical exploration of the Philippine landscape and the oddities and peculiarities that pervade it in “Here Be Dragons: the Topography of Allegory,” which opens on Aug. 15 at Manila Contemporary, Whitespace 2314 Chino Roces Ave., Pasong Tamo Ext., Makati City. The show runs until Sept. 5.

‘VS2 Design Changes’ at Alliance Française’ Total Gallery

Alliance Française de Manille presents “VS2 Design Changes,” an artvocacy exhibit, which opens on Aug. 13 at Alliance Française’s Total Gallery, 209 Nicanor Garcia St., Bel-Air II, Makati City. The show runs until Sept. 4.

“VS2” features works by 27+20, Acidhouse, Collision Theory, CSJ, Darkbulb, Drew Europeo, Electrolychee, EverywhereWeShoot, Ge Mapa, Guada Komeda, Kyle Projects, Inodoro, Mike Sicam, Robert Alejandro, Springboard, Studio Dialogo, Team Manila, Twisted Fork and VGrafiks

‘Landong’ and ‘Kamasutra’ at Kaida Gallery

Kaida Gallery features two simultaneous exhibitions — “Landong” and “Kamasutra” — slated from Aug. 16 to Sept. 2 at the Main Gallery and Gray Wall, respectively of Kaida Gallery, 26 26 Scout Torillo corner Scout Fernandez, Sacred Heart (Timog), Quezon City.

“Landong” is a two-man show by Bacolod-based artists Joe Geraldo and Tristram Miravalles, while “Kamasutra” features Pablo Capati’s sculptures.
