Music Museum stages singing contest at the Promenade

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Music Museum Group celebrates its 21st anniversary with an amateur singing contest titled “Kantahan at Pasiklaban sa Promenade.”

The contest is open to all genders and ages and will be on a “first come, first served” basis. Interested parties should pre-register at the lobby of the Promenade from July 26 to 30. They can then join any of two preliminary rounds, one on July 25 and another on Aug. 1. The winners in the two preliminaries will compete in the Finals scheduled for Aug. 8, date of the Music Museum anniversary. The grand prize winner will receive P10,000; second prize winner, P5,000; and third prize, P3,000.

Precy M. Florentino, president of the Music Museum Group, says, “Last year we toasted and recognized young Filipino musical sensations. We also supported the Ryan Cayabyab School of Music to plant the seeds for our musical future by discovering more young talented musical artists. This year, we want everyone to have good, old-fashioned fun, even as we continue to support maestro Ryan Cayabyab’s music school through our Musmusikwela project.”

For information, call 721-6726 and 721-4501 loc. 116.
