MANILA, Philippines - Shang Cineplex presents a heart-wrenching Holocaust film told from the unique perspective of a child.
Based on the book by Irish novelist John Boyne, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, artfully directed by Mark Herman, will be shown exclusively at the Shang Cineplex, Cinema 1 from March 18 to 30.
Set during World War II, the movie tells the story of 10-year-old German boy Bruno, the son of a high-ranking Nazi officer who has been shielded from the harsh realities of war. After his father gets promoted, their family is forced to move from Berlin to the countryside, much to Bruno’s disdain.
