MANILA, Philippines - The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), in celebration of Earth Day in 2009, invites students to join “Juan for Trees (143s): An Installation Avenue.” This is a design competition of conceptual trees that will be part of a public art installation at the front lawn of the CCP. It is an avenue for students to implement theories into actuality, and work with corporations towards innovative recycling ideas. “143s” is about nurturing a green generation.
The deadline for registration is on March 11. School representatives may coordinate with Karen Ocampo Flores, officer-in- charge of the Visual Arts and Museo Division of CCP, or Marika B. Constantino, Curator and Writer for “143s.”
