Lex Marcos in PETA's latest production

-

Lex Marcos has been chosen for the lead roles in PETA’s opening and closing productions: Nic Tiongson’s Noli at Fili Dekada Dos Mil and Tony Perez’s Saan Ba Tayo Ihahatid Ng Disyembre?

For the former, Marcos played the role of Ibarra Marasigan, the Mayor of Maypajo, and Kumander Simoun, the determined rebel and lover of the lovely Clarissa Santos (Maria Clara). In Saan Ba Tayo Ihahatid Ng Disyembre?, Lex Marcos plays a role more familiar to him: Isa Pang Lalaki, a young artist and passionate painter.

Starting out as a painter himself, Marcos drew and designed for the productions of Dulaang UP before he started out acting. His knowledge and interest in art also led him to study Art History at the UP College of Fine Arts.

Barely turning 30, Lex Marcos had already worked with acclaimed theater artists such as Tony Mabesa, Amiel Leonardia, Anton Juan, Floy Quintos, Alex Cortex, Ricky Abad, Dexter Abad, Nic Tiongson, Soxie Topacio and Jose Estrella to name a few. In Saan Ba Tayo Ihahatid Ng Disyembre?, he works with no less than Palanca Award winning writer Tony Perez, National Artist Salvador Bernal and acclaimed theater director and founding director of Tanghalang Pilipino, Nonon Padilla.

Saan Ba Tayo Ihahatid Ng Disyembre? runs at the PETA-Phinma Theater until March 15, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For inquiries and reservations, call PETA Marketing at 410-0821, 725-6244, SMS 0917-8154567, or e-mail petampro@yahoo.com.
