Winners of CCP film and video tilt announced
Winners of the Ika-20 Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video were announced at the awarding ceremonies held recently at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino.
In the Animation category, second prize went to Anomi by Renei Dimla. Honorable mention was awarded to Hermano by Rhodius N. Daduya, Ugoy ng Duyan by Aileen N. Cornejo and Bandila by Ava Fatima S. Fabricante. No first and third prizes were awarded in this category.
In the Experimental category. First prize went to The Threshold by Mikhail Red, second prize to Tiktilaok Sabi ng Manok, Gising Gising Batang Tulog by Jopay Guillermo. Honorable mention went to Andalusian Bitch by Sasha B. Palomares and Metronome by Sandino Magno. No third prize was awarded in this category.
In the Documentary category, first prize went to Kung Balatan ang Bawang by Jewel Maranan, second prize to Ang Pasko ni Intoy by Charina Theresa Escala and Emerald Hidalgo and third prize went to Batang Pier by Camille Adraincem, Paola Recuenco and Michelle Saquido. Honorable mention was awarded to Hupa by Oscar Nava, Kalimed by Golda Mae Pay-ong and Bingo by Noriel Jarito.
In the Short Feature category, Kamera by Mikhail Red won first pirze and Apak by Rommel Tolentino and Puting Ilaw by Melissa Angela Peñafiel shared the third prize. Honorable mention was given to Tiangge by Ray Gibraltar. No second prize was awarded in this category.
Two special awards were given to three entries. Hupa and Tiangge won for Best Regional Entries while Apak was named Best Work for/by/on Children.
The Gawad CCP Para Sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video is the longest-running film and video competition in the country. It is a competition for works in 16mm and 35mm format for Film and DVD and MiniDV formats for Video.
