To celebrate its 39th season, Ballet Philippines staged a benefit performance at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Main Theater. The new season will be a revival of the era of elegance and appreciation of the more classical genre of music and dance. This follows the recent campaign by the Metropolitan Museum to revive the wearing of the terno to official functions and social events.
It’s fortunate that support for arts and culture development also seems to be achieving its own rebirth in recent times. Prestigious brands such as Ayala Land Premier, The Philippine Tatler, Olay, Globe, Cathay Pacific, BMW and Fiori di M (of Gaita Fores), lend their all-out support for Ballet Philippines’ “New Beginnings” gala benefit. Liwayway Marketing Corporation is also a major supporter and meaningful representative of the renewed support toward the local art and culture scene.
Directed by Alan Hineline, the benefit performance by the Ballet Philippines reemphasized the values of a tradition, which deserve to be preserved for future generations. “We are very pleased that Ayala Land Premier is proudly promoting Filipino artistry and helping us give our artists the audience they truly deserve,” says Maan Hontiveros, Ballet Philippines director. Ayala Land Premier is taking the Ballet Philippines’ “New Beginnings” gala as the perfect opportunity to invite its selected top clients to add to their vast experiences and appreciation of art performances.
Ayala Land Premier has been silently supporting the arts in low-key but meaningful activities. The Ayala Westgrove Heights Symphony Series, a partnership with the Metro Manila Community Orchestra, has been moving around the metro and suburban communities staging musical concerts for young and old, on a mission to instill cultural consciousness within today’s families and communities.
Adds Sofia Elizalde, “Ballet Philippines represents the soul of the Filipino people through its dance. We are grateful to companies such as Ayala Land Premier for their full support and sponsorship towards Ballet Philippines, our resident and premier ballet company of the CCP. This is a distinct tribute to bring to the public eye the incredible local talent we have produced over the years.”
