Spirited socialite and life guru George Sison established the annual Prissy Sison Awards Night in memory of his late mother, the inimitable Priscilla Sison. The award honors women who most exemplify the classic essence of being a graceful and elegant lady in these contemporary times.
This year’s event, aptly titled “Epitome: Dressing at its Best,” took place at Fashion Interiors in Makati City, where the crème de la crème of high society and business sector mingled the night away.
Some of the evening’s impeccably dressed awardees include Gemma Cruz-Araneta, Tina Jacinto, fashion designer Criselda Lontok, TV news anchor Vicky Morales, Angola Consul Helen Ong and Michelle Tan.
Other awardees included Environment Secretary Gina Lopez and Crickette Tantoco.
In his speech, George quoted a tribute to his mother, which goes: “Although a lady is always a woman, a woman is not always a lady. Priscilla ‘Prissy’ de la Fuente Sison is, of course, a lady in the finest sense…Everything she did had a touch of class or nobility.” And indeed, Prissy herself would be proud.
Congratulations on the success of this year’s Priscilla Awards, George!
