Songs for charity
The Catholic Women’s Club (CWC) headed by Muchit Villasor recently celebrated its 94th anniversary at the Main Lounge of the Manila Polo Club in Makati City.
The dinner and show, organized by chairperson Marietta Holmgren and co-chair Baby Ortiz called Sister Act, turned the spotlight on the CWC members’ singing and dancing prowess as they performed songs popularized in Hollywood movies.
The anniversary ball was organized for the benefit of the 65 charity-oriented institutions the CWC supports. Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco Sr., retired Supreme Court Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban, Dr. Jaime Laya, former senator Dr. Loi Estrada and Josie Razon were among the VIP guests at the fundraiser. Ballroom dancing capped the evening program.
