Exquisite pairings
It was quite an evening for guests at InterContinental Manila’s Prince Albert Rotisserie as they partook of Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s Bordeaux wines.
The drinks, courtesy of Titania Wine Cellar Inc., a global importer of fine wines headed by Tita Trillo, paired well with the exquisite dishes prepared for the occasion. Guests enjoyed salmon tataki on avocado and cilantro prawn paired with Berger Baron Blanc, 2013, oven-baked whole roasted tenderloin in Bordelaise sauce paired with Mouton Cadet Vintage, 2012 and fruity-nutty chocolate slice paired with Mouton Cadet Sauternes, 2010.
Among the guests seen enjoying the cocktails and sit-down dinner were French Ambassador Gilles Garachon, Swiss Ambassador Ivo Sieber and wife Gracita, Chilean Ambassador Luis Lillo Jr. and wife Toni Patchett, Co Ban Kiat Hardware Inc. chairman and president Johnny Cobankiat with wife Aida and Jeremy Tiu and wife Coby’s managing director Charlene Cobankiat-Tiu.
