An extravaganza of music & fine dining

“Music is the literature of the heart; it commences where speech ends.” — Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

It was a night to remember at the launch of Marriott Hotel Manila’s Grand Ballroom as guests were treated to a luxurious five-course gala dinner and a concert by Grammy Award winner James Ingram.

Present at the event were the who’s who of the city — foreign dignitaries, political figures, top honchos of major companies, high society and A-list celebrities.

Guests were truly impressed as soon as they stepped into the massive venue with its 3,000-sq.-m. pillar-less space with a towering 12-meter-high ceiling, multi-colored pillow ceiling lights and VIP Skyboxes.

The Grand Ballroom’s first-of-its-kind features complemented the 90-minute concert of R&B soul singer James Ingram, who serenaded 1,700 guests with his greatest hits such as Just Once, I Believe I Can Fly, P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) and How Do You Keep the Music Playing. A spectacular opening performance by Lani Misalucha and Mark Mabasa provided the local sparkle.

The concert extravaganza was matched by an exemplary dining experience, prepared by the hotel’s executive chef Meik Brammer and his culinary team.

The Marriott Grand Ballroom surpassed our expectations, proving itself to be the next big thing in the events scene. Expect more of the big shows at this venue! Our personal congratulations to Andrew and Katherine Tan for their commitment to bring the best of the best in fabulous entertainment!
