Nene Quimson, the elegant and sophisticated wife of the late Philippine Ambassador to the Court of St. James John Quimson, has a gift — a special touch of elegance especially when she hosts dinners in her lovely home in La Vista, Quezon City.
Recently, Nene hosted a joint birthday celebration for four close friends — Ambassador Philip Mabilangan, Josie Sy, Eddie Pineda and Maloy Luchangco — and yes, your columnist was lucky enough to be invited.
Nene knows that simplicity is the mother of sophistication and this is exactly what she presented during her elegant celebration — from her impeccable selection of vintage wines to an incredible degustation dinner and a variety of desserts that one can only dream about. But the pièce de résistance was actually the camaraderie that dates back to their high school years, which time has developed into mature friendships and great affection.
