Nine beautiful decades for Mama Charing
Well-respected for her countless socio-civic endeavors and associations, the endearing Rosario “Mama Charing” Rojas Villar achieved another milestone as she celebrated her 90th birthday with all grand things imaginable.
Resplendent in a purple and cream dress made by her longtime friend, the late Aureo “Tatang” Alonzo, the celebrator welcomed friends to her grand party held at the Wack Wack Golf & Country Club in Mandaluyong City.
Members of Mama Charing’s loving family led by children Louie, Karen, Saripaz, Christine, Malu and Elaine — who collaborated with renowned florist Jun Hen for the venue’s stunning décor — were all present on this very special day.
The remarkable event started with a thanksgiving Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Boyd Sulpico, followed by a sumptuous spread courtesy of Via Mare. Starting off the program on a high note was the one and only Concert King Martin Nievera, who serenaded Mama Charing with a repertoire of timeless favorites. The Villar grandchildren came next with an enchanting group number to the tune of Mamma Mia followed by their parents, who wowed everyone with their respective ballroom dance routines.
The celebrator herself then led everyone in dancing the night away.
It was truly an evening to remember for the extraordinary woman that is Mama Charing.
