Rituals
MANILA, Philippines - A woman’s rituals can make or break her. Most of the time, they glorify her.
Makeup artist to the stars and the country’s most beautiful, Patrick Rosas, will once again showcase his exceptional talent in the realm of beauty through a coffee table book Rituals, which features the crème dela crème of the Philippine entertainment and fashion industries and the who’s who of Philippine society.
Rituals, Rosas’ third book, will be launched following a partnership with ABS-CBN Publishing Inc. On its pages, Rosas’ artistry comes to life through iconic photographs shot by top-tier photographers Mark Nicdao, Jo Ann Bitagcol, Patrick Uy, Filbert Kung and Glenn Gordon, with photography legend Neal Oshima pitching in when it comes to creative direction.
“Rituals is a celebration of beauty and art. It’s part of my personal journey,” said Rosas. “Patrick is one of the best in his field. ABS-CBN Publishing has been working with him for a long time and he always delivers compelling, unparalleled work. It’s our pleasure to be part of this project and we are excited to share with everyone the masterpiece that is Rituals,” says ABS-CBN Publishing Inc. managing director Mark Yambot.
“Patrick Rosas is truly a genius, and one of the country’s most loved and respected creative artists. He is not just a makeup artist, but an artist who transforms women’s daily rituals into an art form,” says Kaye Tinga, one of Rosas’ partners for the project.
Rosas worked on over 100 faces for Rituals including Gretchen Barretto, Korina Sanchez, Michael Cinco, Lulu Tan-Gan, Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Rajo Laurel, Doctors Z and Aivee Teo, Imelda Cojuangco and Margarita Fores.
“This book is like a culmination of over two decades of Patrick Rosas’ work. I’ve known Patrick for about 15 years and have seen him evolve as a professional artist, and refine his craft. He is a unique entity in our local fashion industry and has a very strong point of view,” shares Rituals project manager Carmina Sanchez-Jacob.
