MANILA, Philippines - “Style is a way of saying who you are without having to speak,” that’s according to Hollywood stylist to the stars and fashion designer Rachel Zoe.

Undoubtedly, what we wear reflects who we are in more ways than one. It can either help us express our personal style or simply allow us to venture out of our fashion comfort zone. Whatever your mood (and occasion) is, there is a go-to outfit we can always rely on.

On a recent trip to the tropical island of Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, I absolutely enjoyed sampling the local cuisine from various street hawkers and appreciating all the sights the laid-back, remote town had to offer.

However, in between tours under the scorching heat of the sun (KK is known for its adventure treks and nature trails), I cooled off by hitting the pool at the Hyatt Regency Kinabalu!
