The Philippine Daily Inquirer was adjudged Newspaper of the Year while Freeman Cebu was this year’s awardee for the Regional Newspaper category. Business World was adjudged the Business Newspaper of the Year, while a Special Award was bestowed on former senator and STAR columnist Ernie Maceda.

For winning the Newspaper of the Year Award for three years in a row, The Philippine STAR was elevated to the Hall of Fame.

The Rotary Journalism Awards started in 1966, and 48 years later it continues to be one of the most awaited and most distinguished award to be ever given to media practitioners in the country.

The RCM Journalism Awards is recognized by Rotary International, giving the accolade more meaning and prestige. We were informed that there will soon be a Rotary International Journalism Awards where our local nominees can vie for the Rotary International Award. For now, congratulations to all the winners!
