Agua Brazil: Desfrute do sol em estilo!
Enjoy the sun in style!
Spanish-born Fatima Rabago knows a thing or two about the Brazilian mindset. Life partner to popular “Brapanese†model/actor Hideo Muraoka, Fatima understands Brazilians’ affinity for sun, surf and sand. This year, the beautiful fashion model/makeup artist/mother chose to add yet another credential to her multi-hyphenated occupations: swimwear entrepreneur. Fatima has recently brought in Agua Brazil, a collection of Brazilian swimwear that has already taken Manila by storm.
“The Philippines is a tropical country. It has so many beautiful beaches. I always hear women complaining that there aren’t many flattering and good-quality swimwear options in the country, and Asia in general. Even as a young teen at 13 years of age, I always preferred Brazilian swimwear because it is the best quality swimwear in the world. The cuts they offer are perfect for a woman’s body, so I thought of bringing them here,†shares Fatima.
When asked why Brazilian women are regarded as the ultimate beach beauty icons, Fatima offers this theory. “These women are considered beautiful because they ooze with confidence. They are confident about themselves and their bodies because they do not care about their imperfections. They see a body as it is — just a body that (like everyone else) has fats and stretch marks. They do not give their imperfections a second thought, they still wear their teeny-tiny bikinis with pride. Their perfect personalities outshine any physical imperfections. What media shows of perfect women with perfect bodies is not the reality, and this is true of any woman from any country. When you see a supremely confident woman with an imperfect figure, you are attracted to that energy. This is more desirable than a woman who possesses a beautiful body but has no confidence in herself.â€
