Savoy faire

The word “retirement” probably does not exist in the vocabulary of Arthur “Chito” Bautista. aAfter his successful stint as a banker, Chito now has his hands full as chairman and CEO of Timebound Trading, which recently brought in new Swiss luxury watch brand Savoy Collections at the New World Makati Hotel.

The new Swiss brand underscores Chito’s global outlook complemented by a trailblazing spirit, with founder Pascal Savoy describing the watch line as “a new standard in accessible luxury.” It is designed for innovative people with good taste.

Chito happens to be the younger brother of my late La Salle schoolmate and star basketball player Rey Bautista who was also a well-known restaurateur. No surprise then that Chito, who is very active in the UCPB board, is also in the restaurant business. He put up Kuya’s at the Fort and Jed & Julian’s that has gained a notable following due to the diversity of the menu that offers Spanish, Mediterranean, Italian, American and Filipino cuisine.

Chito is most certainly the epitome of  “Savoy faire.”
