Breaking Boundaries @ SM MEN’S FASHION

MANILA, Philippines - Menswear retail in the Philippines made history at the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week, where SM MEN’S FASHION created a milestone when it launched the latest face to represent it —  international supermodel David Gandy.

The iconic David, one of the highest paid models in the world, has captivated fashion with his mesmerizing blue eyes, towering 6’3” frame, dapper demeanor and trademark sexiness. With countless notable global campaigns under his name, the celebrated Brit is currently breaking news and has taken cosmopolitan Manila by storm.

David was flown in straight from Milan for his four-day stay in the Philippines. His stay was highlighted with his stellar appearance at SM MEN’S FASHION showcase at the fashion week held at the SMX Convention Center. From an outstanding stage that looked like a scene from a James Bond film, David descended in an elegant and sleek black suit by Mainstreet and walked the circular runway with mesmerizing appeal and royal elegance.

SM MEN’S FASHION impressed Philippine Fashion Week with this season’s forecasts. The leading retail institution, inspired by the latest trends, presented a variety of prints, modern silhouettes and the most wanted colors in both casual and formal wear.

For menswear, Smart Denim takes a refreshing spin with up-to-date washes, hues and soft fabrication in slim silhouettes. Tartan Checks displayed a European-inspired feel to dressy casual and corporate wear. While Fall’s Color Fusion in subdued tones paraded in tapered suiting, in reinvented dapper style.

The Sweater Boys are also dressing up sportswear with style setting neutrals set in swagger like formalities. The finale unveiled a statement of Whites and Neutrals to Cloud prints in modern silhouettes.  From sportswear to casual wear, the unmistakable style declaration is about reinventing the classics with a hint of sexiness. Summer fashion dares to bare in a bold direction as hemlines are shorter and proportions are slimmer.
