L’Opéra debuts
MANILA, Philippines - In a class of its own, the L’Opéra collection encapsulates the very essence of the Lancel maison. It evokes a certain lifestyle — that of a heady, fun-loving Paris, like a host of sparkling champagne bubbles. It brings to mind the origins of the leather goods maison, installed on four floors at Place de L’Opéra in 1929, which is, even today, the showcase of the Parisian maison.
The traditions of 136 years of haute maroquinerie express themselves in L’Opéra, through smooth Italian calf leather, supple and soft, and a tanning process that respects the natural attributes of the full grain leather with a satin-touch finish.
Each creation in the collection is ideally proportioned, delicately cut for a harmonious effect with its round silhouette, the pure lines and soft curves give L’Opéra a graceful aspect. The perfect accessory for today’s modern woman, in Paris or elsewhere, L’Opéra has reinforced handles for a comfortable grip, several pockets with hidden-magnet closures that keep all essentials at hand yet secure, and a luxurious micro-suede beige lining. The wide opening gives easy access to objects inside, and the large champagne-colored zip-pull adds a discreet flash of light.
In addition to the black and sand versions, L’Opéra comes in Fall’s subtle and sophisticated shades of grape and night blue.
