Celebrating a birthday & sweet victories
The affair was originally meant to celebrate the birthday of former senator Dr. Loi Ejercito. The joyous occasion, however, was made all the more sweeter by the victories in the recently concluded elections of her husband, former President and now Manila Mayor-elect Joseph Estrada, and granddaughter Janella Marie Ejercito as the youngest councilor of San Juan City.
The dinner party, held at a condominium on Shaw Boulevard, was highlighted by the presence of colleagues, members of MARE and the former Cabinet secretaries of the Estrada administration.
Dr. Loi’s children and grandchildren serenaded her. Entertainment was also provided by the fiery Arthur Manuntag and the “Divine Diva†Zsa Zsa Padilla.
At the stroke of midnight, Dr. Loi happily blew the candles on the birthday cake to the many cheers of the adoring guests.
