The 15-minute makeup routine

Applying makeup for work need not be a time-consuming chore.

Uptown/Downtown asked Acqua Westgate’s makeup artist MJ Cabarloc for some tips on how to face the corporate world with confidence.

“First, you have to take into consideration the type of image your place of business has. Are you in the creative or a more institutional field? As a rule of thumb, it is always safest to use muted, not shimmery or glittery shades. You can never go wrong with neutral palettes like taupes, browns and grays. Keep your face looking naturally put together and always carry oil blotting papers to counter midday shine,” Cabarloc shares.
