‘Halo-Halo’ is love
A few weeks before Christmas, I was fortunate to be with my dear friend and prayer partner Cynthia Tinsay-Gonzalez. She is the passionate and committed school directress of Reach International School.
On the occasion of her school’s Christmas celebration entitled “Halo-Halo,†Cynthia and I sat side by side at the RCBC Auditorium. We watched the presentation of her students, a mix of different nationalities, as they came together in the spirit of love. It was very heartwarming to see how they gave of themselves in this stunning and colorful pageant.
Everything in this show was about the students, their artworks, varied expressions of love through their souvenir programs, costumes and their wholehearted efforts to sing and dance. It was through “Halo-Halo†that they shared their individuality and uniqueness. Their parents beamed with pride and joy as their children performed on stage.
Another dear friend, Maritess Bichara del Rosario, made this special holiday presentation possible. She conceptualized, choreographed and directed the show for love of the children who simply love her back and gave their whole hearts to her through their outstanding performance.
Cynthia is also most grateful to scriptwriter Dolores Cheng, Irene Supnet, Josel Reyes, Christine Jeresano, Mira Merto and Gads Castromayor, who walked with the students every step of the way.
Cynthia is also thankful to her youngest daughter, Isa Gonzalez, for the lovely video footage and to all who proved and believed that in Reach International School, inclusion for all kinds of learners is possible.
Reach International School provides a more stimulating, less stressful, and fun learning environment that allows all types of students to achieve their full potential. It is known for its learning disabilities program and special education department.
A blessed and beautiful brand new year to one and all. May our dear Lord’s love, peace and grace continue to reign in your hearts.
