A toast to music & the arts
A cocktail musical was hosted by the Johann Strauss Society of the Philippines (JSSP) at the lobby of Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). The JSSP, through its chairman and Monaco Consul General Fortune Ledesma, thanked its sponsors, benefactors and friends for their support through the years.
The University of Santo Tomas Singers, CCP president and piano virtuoso Raul Sunico, top cellist Renato Lucas with soprano Marie Ann Dominese and tenorChristian Nagano (both scholars of George Yang’s Klassical Music Foundation) performed in the concert.
The event’s highlight was the turnover of a substantial donation by the JSSP to the CCP.The affair also coincided with the birthday of JSSP’s indefatigable president Olga Severino-Martel.
