Tina Maristela-Ocampo is the epitome of the stylish Filipina and she brings this sense of elegance to her popular store, The Black Shop (TBS). Her shop has long been the go-to place for women executives who wish to be assured of timeless pieces.
Ocampo shares, “TBS is not about fads. We create fashion pieces that promise to be staples in a woman’s wardrobe.” In order to complete the look, Ocampo shares the following advice: “Do not be afraid to use accessories because they add tremendously to the look of your ensemble. Be careful, though, of what accessories to put on yourself. Remember that there is such a thing as ‘too much of a good thing’.”
She adds, “Go ahead and add unconventional colors in your wardrobe. TBS uses colors like gray, green, old rose and melon. You do not have to always go for primary or neutral colors at the office. Learn how to style yourself out of your comfort zone. You will be surprised at the results!”
Lastly, Manila’s style diva has this to share, “ No matter how put-together your outfits are, your entire look can crumble if your face and figure are not properly attended to. To achieve the ideal corporate look, do not go overboard with make up (but please do use it!), keep your hairdo simple, make sure your nails and skin are well groomed and carry yourself with confidence!”
