“All things excellent are as difficult as they are rare.” — Baruch Spinoza
When Lifestyle Asia recently marked its 25 years of publishing articles on Asian living at its best, it had a grand Black Swan-themed ball at the Makati Shangri-La. Dancers from Ballet Philippines performed an excerpt from Swan Lake before leading everyone into the Rizal Ballroom, which was fully draped, with dangling “Icarus” lights that resembled swan wings, and a tree installation that underscored the magazine’s commitment to the environment.
As one of the many publications of wholly Filipino-owned One Mega Group, which is headed by debonair chairman Jerry Tiu and president Sari Yap, Lifestyle Asia continues to be a market leader in the luxury magazine. Swathed in Jewelmer pearls, editor-in-chief Anna Sobrepeña welcomed such stellar guests, among them, Rustan’s Group of Companies board member and Morroco Consul General Bienvenido “Rico” Tantoco, Jr., Lexus Manila chairman Alfred Ty and wife Cherry, Metrobank Foundation president Chito Sobrepeña, CVCLAW managing partner Bienvenido Somera, Jr. and Tingting Cojuangco.
Congratulations! Here’s to another 25 years!
