A colorful way to run
MANILA, Philippines - Bonding among family members was made more colorful and exciting when Devant recently supported Anson’s Mardi Gras Run 2011. The celebration was held at the Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, Taguig City.
Runners and other enthusiasts gathered as early as 5 a.m. last Sunday. Their excitement was palpable as the light of day slowly broke in the horizon. Hosted by the wacky Boys Night Out, the day began and ended with fun-filled activities made more lively with music from a Mardi Gras band, as well as energetic numbers from dancers and stilt walkers. Ground activities also included photo booths and various food sampling. Children enjoyed themselves, too, face painting and balloon twisting.
Cash prizes and valuable gadgets were awarded to the winning participants. Prizes were also given for best costume in various categories judged by designer Inno Sotto. It’s important to note that the proceeds of the Mardi Gras Run 2011 will go to the Cancer & Hematology Center of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center.
Devant’s partnership with Anson’s for the Mardi Gras Run 2011 marks the brand’s commitment to uplifting the family experience, parallel to its partner’s thrust of fostering stronger bonds within the family as well as promoting healthy living.
