Friends, flowers, feasts
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”— Abraham Lincoln
Upon the invitation of floral architect Rachy Cuna and STAR columnist Büm Tenorio Jr., friends and well-wishers gathered at the well-designed Carte Blanche restaurant at the second level of the World Trade Center in Pasay City to celebrate another wonderful year for Allure editor and People Asia editor-in-chief Joanne Rae Ramirez.
Guests enjoyed the sumptuous Japanese specialties on the buffet table, which included tempura, sushi, maki, yakitori, tonkatso, soba and udon. Everyone also feasted on lechon that was a gift from Dr. Vicki Belo, who came to the party with Hayden Kho. It was also a night of soothing music with Elnora Halili lovingly playing the piano.
Present at the intimate dinner were Joanne’s friends from the political, business, social and media industry. Wishing Joanne a very happy birthday were Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, STAR columnists Christine Dayrit and Pepper Teehankee, Deedee Siytangco, Donnie Ramirez, Toni Gregory-Palenzuela and Annie Ringor. Also present were the Allure and People Asia staff.
The already merry party became even more exciting when GMA star Aljur Abrenica arrived and offered the birthday celebrator a bouquet of roses. He gamely posed for pictures with the excited guests.
Belated happy birthday, Joanne, and many more to come!
