Smooth sailing at 18
By the bottled red, white and blue invitation alone that had the words “Ahoy, mate!”, there was no denying that Abigail “Abby” Antonio’s 18th birthday would be nautical in theme.
Indeed, it was a remarkably unique celebration at the Manila Yacht Club where Abby smooth sailed throughout the night with the help of her 18 Sailors, 18 Nautical Stars and 18 Anchors — all of whom have played vital roles in her life.
Debutant Abigail ‘Abby’ Antonio. Abby, a Political Science major in De La Salle University, is well loved by family and friends. Her mom Geri Antonio says her course befits her because Abby loves to engage friends in avid discussions. Her dad Relly Antonio adds Abby has always been passionate about sports, meeting new people and creating new friends wherever she goes. Abby’s parents love it that their youngest daughter is kindhearted, dependable and compassionate.
“I thank all the people who made this night so special. My loving gratitude goes to all my family and friends who have been my guardian angels to a smooth sailing life,” Abby says.
