One fantastic and a-blazing party!
“Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.” — Martin H. Fischer
Every year, friends of multi-talented events designer Junjun Ablaza look forward to his themed parties, which are always magical and full of splendor. Recently, the creative genius celebrated his birthday at the Manila Polo Club with this year’s theme, “One Thousand and One Ablaza Ablaze Nights... To Cure the Prince’s Madness.”
More than a hundred of Junjun’s friends were warmly welcomed at the venue, which was beautifully transformed into an enchanting “Nujnuj kingdom” with every inch having touches of Arabian, Persian and Indian details. Dashing saxophonist Dr. Michael Young and DJ Kristian Hernandez provided the evening’s enthralling music while swaying belly dancers entertained guests amidst hints of crimson and golden hues dominating the tassels, pillows, red oil lamps and Arabianesque details. Complementing the merrymaking was the delectable feast of moussaka, baba ganoush, samosa, curries, shawarma, chocolate rhum balls and a sizzling lamb carving station replete with smooth, bold drinks. At the stroke of midnight, Junjun graciously blew his fabulous cake from Cake Concepts amidst the cheers of excited well-wishers. It was indeed an unforgettable outdoor party filled with merriment, laughter and dancing!
Happy birthday Junjun and more celebrations to come!
Celebrating cultural diversity
To promote harmonious cultural relations and development among several Asian countries, the All Nations Women’s Group (ANWG) headed by its philanthropic president, Gov. Leonida “Baby” Bayani-Ortiz and vice president Arlene Jacobo recently celebrated the success of their Cultural Program, which is already in three countries: Sri Lanka, Singapore and Indonesia. Gracing the affair were Singaporean Ambassador A. Selverajah, Sri Lankan Ambassador N. Bennett Cooray and Cecile Legowo of Indonesia.
Congratulations!
