Aha! moments
In the vast of our lives, we are blessed with moments that are peak experiences of knowing. How can I describe it? There is clarity of messages coming in from the mind (both intuitive and rational); there is a deep abiding knowing in the gut; there is an alert and dynamic energetic flow in the body. It’s the awareness of the effortless synchronization of all events in one’s life where everything in the past — all the major milestones, learning and challenges — bring us to this point in our life right now. This is the point that makes us truly know something about ourselves, our journey and even our life mission. It’s that moment when everything we have half-dreamt about but were afraid to really bring forth. It’s about those parts of us that planned and hoped, saw needs and felt they could be addressed but were kept back by our little ego selves cowering back in insecurity and fear for the responsibilities if put on our shoulders — all these suddenly forgotten when the river of life brings us to a point where we face a culmination of all that was of the past and the beginning of a future with the most potent energies for self-transformation.
These are the moments of the grand “Aha!” where we are faced with a real understanding of what we need to do in our life for it to have meaning. These are moments that seemingly come like lighting, but in hindsight, have been created step by step to bring us where we are now. These are the moments when we know the Universe/God/a Higher Force has and always will be at work in our life. In truth, our higher self drives it, which is our true self, who can see everything about our journey, knows exactly what is right for us and exactly when.
For example: Take the moments when you suddenly find yourself in a job position of great responsibilities and you feel sorely inadequate yet know you have to step up. Or when someone you love suffers a life-threatening illness and you step in consciously to aid or “carry him/her” in his/her passing. A more mundane example is suddenly meeting a person you “know” deep in your gut you will spent the rest (or at least most!) of your life with. Or when a person like a monk, nun or priest “knows” he/she has a vocation… or not, and he/she needs to leave… Or even someone who is a successful rich corporate executive suddenly questions what all this money-making is for and looks to go beyond profit to service. Such moments are priceless for these are the times they link us to our spiritual side, and our souls.
We each have a journey, a map to undertake in life. It’s the soul that knows this, not our personalities. It’s our souls deep inside us that understand why we need to grow, who recognizes these points where changes and growth force us to awaken to a next level of our journey. Sometimes, not all of us are aware really and we see these points either as crisis and face them with fear.
The book The Secret has the message that as we discipline and bring forth positive thoughts, then we create the reality we want. However, many of us think we want only prosperity, or happiness in relationship, and worldly success. There is really nothing wrong with this, except that these choices limit us to only our personality desires. This book is an abridged version of spiritual wisdom about living and practicing consciously in ways that produce results. To go even deeper to understand this — “producing results” can also mean calling forth challenges and points of change to jump start us to dive deeper into our soul journeys and not just our personality’s unfolding stories and dramas.
What can bring this Aha! moments about — this perfect moment when all are united, where there is peace and joy, awareness and stillness? And when the flowering of something new begins to emerge from our consciousness/minds? I believe it’s the act of flowing… where we immerse ourselves into the experience of living without having to evaluate anything to understand: just experience and move with what comes. We need to contact our intuitive knowing, attune to our own rhythms, accept our strengths and weaknesses and be accountable for them. When we can do this, suddenly we may be blessed to find our paths open up, the journey of life makes sense and we know how to move forward and feel that we are on track. And we need to take responsibility for all we have brought forth into the world in our past, and all that we can bring forth and create in the future.
To flow also means to learn how to surrender and trust to a Higher Force that you will be taken to where you need to be, and when you get there you will have the tools and courage to do what needs to be done. This is the great secret: to align with the bigger picture, the small ego self aligned with the Higher Self, walking your talk and being your faith, to do everything humanly possible for a goal then lift all end results to God, “Thy will be done.”
Now more than ever as the energies of our world and planet are changing, so, too, are the energies in our own bodies. Shifts are also happening in our minds. Energies are moving faster and in higher frequency. It is therefore easier to have Aha! moments if we are more in the flow of things rather than in countering everything with fear. What would be the correct direction? To move toward the higher energies of love and gentleness in the heart; joyful dynamic movement in the body; and clarity and peace of mind. Then we will flow. For everything is unhampered and energy flows unrestricted through the body, through the heart and through the mind. When this happens, energy (a.k.a Spirit) moves through all parts of us and will naturally bring us to Aha!
