Lulu Tan Gan: The epitome of style reinvention

- Johnny Litton -

There is no stopping the renowned Filipino designer and Knit Queen of the Philippines Lulu Tan-Gan from continuing to set trends and redefine style in the Philippine fashion scene through her exceptional, breathtaking masterpieces. After more than two successful decades of knitwear design, the world-class Tan-Gan brand continues to flourish as the inimitable Lulu recently showcased her awe-inspiring Tan-Gan Piñawear Collection at the NBC Tent, produced by The Samsung Metrowear Icon Series and masterfully directed by Robby Carmona. The highly-successful, well-attended fashion affair was made possible through her brilliant artistic team and show collaborators, including the young and promising designer Solenn Heusaff (who she has taken under her wing to help her continue the vision she has had for 25 years), celebrated fashion designer Puey Quiñones (who served as the event’s stylist) and the creative genius Dustin Reyes as visual director. Congratulations!

Commemorating excellence

In celebration of the anniversaries of musical greats Haydn and Mendelssohn, and the Far Eastern University (FEU) Auditorium, the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) led by president Minerva Tanseco, through the efforts of director-in-charge Martin E.Z. Lopez, recently hosted Commemorations, a musical concert. The event featured the Saraza Brothers, the Manila Symphony Orchestra under the baton of German conductor Christoph Poppen and Julliard-trained violinists. Congratulations!
