Face of Allure: Belinda Danielle Ordoñez

MANILA, Philippines - As a child, Belinda Danielle Ordoñez dreamt of shopping in the biggest toy store. This unfulfilled wish is what keeps her a child at heart even to this day. At 24, Dan is already an in-demand print, ramp and commercial model but she still yearns to fulfill that childhood dream. Given the chance, Dan says her shopping cart will be filled with toy cars, roller blades, skateboards and Lego. Christmas is a memorable time to this only child because she gets to spend it with her parents.

Dan, who is of Spanish descent, relates that she was discovered while walking around the mall. Soon after, she found herself busy with modeling stints left and right. “I wouldn’t forget my experience when I got to be in complete rock attire while shooting for a magazine cover,” says Dan, who admits that her latest fashion obsessions are stuff for the rocker chic. “I love modeling because of the beautiful clothes, the wonderful people I get to work with and the traveling that we do.” The downside of her career, however, are the long working hours and the stereotypical reputation models have. That’s why this 5’8”-tall stunning lass is most proud of being able to finish her Communication Arts course from the University of Sto. Tomas.

When she gets a breather from work, Dan loves to explore new dining options. She shares: “When I visit restaurants, I observe the ambience, quality of the food and the service.” Interestingly, she also loves the mountain because of the peace and serenity it gives her. “I get inspired whenever I’m in there because I can do just anything. Being that close to nature is a spectacular feeling,” says Dan, who also wants to explore the least-explored beaches of the Philippines.

Dan believes that the best things in life don’t come easy. So she works hard and a few years from now, she promises herself “to be living the life that’s worth it” and maybe shop in that dream toy store.   — Jerni May H. Camposano
