Forever in style
MANILA, Philippines - TV host, model and actress Phoemela Baranda has been around the fashion and entertainment industry for the last 16 years. From her modeling days that started when she was still a teenager, Phoemela took her career on a different level when she joined the news and current affairs team of ABS-CBN.
Whether she is delivering your daily entertainment news, strutting down the runway, gracing the covers of magazines or diving in a tank full of snakes, Phoemela has always remained beautiful and stylish.
Like most women who are required to look fashionable all the time, Phoemela said that she has learned to be very mindful of the clothes she wears. Although comfort is the key to her everyday choices, she makes sure that her outfit can be converted into an evening wear in an instant.
“My style is very classy, simple and fashionable. I always try to update my look by adding accessories. I make sure that I’m always up-to-date but never a fashion victim. Comfort for me is the key to looking good. When you’re comfortable, you’re confident,” she says.
An avid fan of the local designs, she said that some of the best pieces could be found in our local retail stores. One of the local stores she frequents is Get Laud, so she was already familiar with its pieces before she became its newest celebrity endorser. She finds the Multi Dress, which can be worn in many different ways, a very practical buy while her favorite piece is the one-shoulder dress. Phoemela also goes for the clothing brand’s collection of leggings, dresses and harem pants.
“Get Laud has very unique designs and wide variety of style you can choose from. You can go for casual chic to elegantly stylish. From vibrant colors and prints to toned-down earth colors and it comes in plus size. Get Laud is very up-to-date with excellent quality at an affordable price. It’s a fashionista’s heaven.”
Phoemela dons the newest collection of Get Laud, which is focused on black as the main shade. One of the key pieces is a very sexy black mini dress that was named after her, Phem.
