UNO men’s magazine just had a makeover and was re-launched in an exclusive black-tie affair at the Mercedes-Benz showroom at the Bonifacio Global City. The magazine’s new editor-in-chief RJ Ledesma dubbed the publication as “The ultimate in men’s lifestyle magazines.” He also mentioned during an inspirational speech how UNO has evolved what sexy is for women as it is beyond mere biology. Thus, the latest UNO cover features the sensuously classy Celine Lopez.
The event was a double celebration of sorts as RJ was feted with a surprise birthday cake by his wife Vanessa. Notable guests from the entertainment industry, government, diplomatic corps, fashion and the like were all present at the illustrious occasion. After the program, a special after-party was hosted at Members Only by Erik Cua and GP Reyes. The evening was truly spectacular.

Fashion for a cause
The 2009 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines is all set and ready to go as we honor this year’s style icons and best dressed ladies on Sept. 23 at the Rizal Ballroom of Shangri-La Makati. Now on its sixth year, the affair will greatly benefit the various programs of the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS) in the areas of research and development as well as patient services. The celebration is spearheaded by PCS event chairperson and philanthropist Imelda Ongsiako Cojuangco, event chairman Consul Helen Ong, co-chairman Gerry Contreras, committee members Consul Fortune Ledesma, your columnist, Asia’s fashion czar Pitoy Moreno and PCS chairman Dr. Roberto Paterno.
