A surprise party to celebrate Consul Louie Ablaza’s 71st birthday was recently hosted by his lovely wife Consul Mellie Ablaza and adoring children Marc, Junjun and Czarina at the Manila Polo Club’s Turf Room. Non-members of the family who were part of Louie’s party plans were Lily del Rosario and Marite Ilagan who suggested the menu for that evening. Talented son Junjun converted the Turf Room into an elegant and colorful circa ‘70s disco-themed appeal replete with mirror balls and dancing lights. Another helpful friend of the family was Jet Carpio who hired a-go-go dancers to add to the evening’s “Saturday Night Fever” ambiance.
Among those who came to celebrate Louie’s birthday were friends from the Association of Pawnbrokers of the Philippines, Jaycees, Lion’s Club and the diplomatic corps. Indeed it was a well-planned surprise birthday bash. Leave it to the creative Ablazas to host memorable fun-filled events like this. Happy birthday, Louie!
