A just celebration

- Johnny Litton -

After years of faithful service and dedication to upholding justice in our country, Supreme Court Justice Dante Tinga celebrated his birthday as well as his retirement with a grand banquet at the Grand Ballroom of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. The magnificent celebration was generously hosted by the Supreme Court of the Philippines. Distinguished guests included Justice Tinga’s children such as the honorable Taguig Mayor Sigfrido “Freddie” Tinga and his stunning wife Kaye as well as prominent members of the country’s judiciary system like Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno and former Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban in addition to Supreme Court spokesperson Midas Marquez who gave the opening remarks and Supreme Court Justice Consuelo Ynares-Santiago who offered a toast for the celebrant. A scrumptious dinner and special number by the country’s premiere soprano maria and Aliw Award recipient Rachelle Gerodias made the evening even more spectacular. It was a truly momentous occasion and a delightful way to begin a new year and conclude a fulfilling career. Cheers!
