A night of pride and joy
MANILA, Philippines - Officials of the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, School of Hotel Restaurant and Institution Management (DLS-CSB SHRIM) recently celebrated the launch of the premiere institution’s Bachelor of Science in International Hotel Management (B.S. IHM) degree. It is the country’s first and only international double-degree program approved by the country’s Commission on Higher Education (CHED) based on its new transnational guidelines. Under the new course, graduates will be conferred with two degrees: a Philippine bachelor’s degree and a French bachelor’s degree or Licence de Management du Tourisme, spécialité Hôtellerie Internationale from the Institut Vatel, a degree fully recognized by the European Union. With academe and hospitality industry personalities gracing the event, the DLS-CSB-SHRIM marked the launch with a formal dinner prepared and served by a brigade composed of students taking their internship.
