Let's get 'laud'
MANILA, Philippines - Clothing apparel brand Get Laud has certainly gone a long way since it started business in 2003. Its humble beginnings started from a small space in Alabang Town Center until it became a full-scale, multi-awarded company with branches nationwide.
Being aware that having a familiar face to represent the brand is very important to capture the target market, owners Gigi and Darren Laudencia invited young actress and Star Magic talent Roxanne Guinoo to join them onboard in 2006. Since then, there was no way but up for Get Laud.
“In my kind of job, the demand to have a variety of styles every single day is high,” says Roxanne, who, at the time, was hosting a daily noontime show. “You can’t wear the same dress in a week’s time so you really have to learn to mix and match. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a closet full of clothes you only used once or simply bankrupt.”
One who knows her money’s worth, Roxanne spends her hard earned money wisely. So she goes for trendy and high quality pieces, which are also easy on the pocket. This lovely lass shares that she hardly buys expensive items unless there is a need for them. With these impressive values, Roxanne is the perfect choice to represent Get Laud, a company that strives to provide locally-made apparels which are up-to-date yet affordable.
The apparel brand is also a recipient of the following awards: National Product Quality Excellence Award’s Seal of Product Quality for Best Spandex Retail for 2006 and the Most Promising Retailer for 2007 for Market! Market! Award at the Ayala Malls Marketing Excellence 2007 Awards.
“We want Filipinas to dress up to look good and feel confident about themselves. That is why we made our products affordable so that it will cater to women from all walks of life. Fashion is a lifestyle and it is our responsibility to look beautiful. It shouldn’t be a luxury, especially with Get Laud’s stores around,” says Gigi Laudencia, who personally conceptualizes some of the designs.
“Aside from her good looks and demure nature which is very Filipina, Roxanne continues to evolve as a woman — both professionally and personally. That is how Get Laud is in terms of company development. We never tire to produce new designs that follow international fashion trends yet suitable for the Filipina,” adds Gigi.
